Green Credentials

From production to installation and through to the end of its life, sustainability is an integral part of the life cycle of every Intashell building.

Made from recycled cold-formed steel, magnesium oxide board, and lightweight structural polyurethane thermal filling, the use of sustainable materials is an in-built feature of our 4wall panels.

The recycled content of steel varies, but according to LEED NC 2.2, projects can assume 25% recycled steel content based on average minimums.

Magnesium Oxide Board

Is our chosen building board and is proven to have a low impact on the environment. Manufactured from inorganic substances and natural silicates, it is naturally cured, using no energy through cold fusion. It is also fire, mildew and impact resistant, making it a low maintenance option.

Polyurethane Foam

Using natural oils and polymer derived from vegetable oil and offers zero ozone depletion.

Green Construction Methods

Offsite construction offers many green benefits:

  • Reduced site deliveries: one lorry of 4wall panels is the equivalent of eight lorries carrying traditional blocks and insulation.
  • There is a limited requirement for ‘wet trades’.
  • Site waste is minimal.
  • The time and resource needed to construct a building is reduced

Low Energy Consumption

Our buildings have achieved an EPC energy rating of A that is only achieved by 0.095% of homes built in the UK
